Inhuis was founded in May 2018, when Ron Berkhout realized the need for a knowledgeable company with excellent leadership and management was required for the rapidly growing medical horticulture market.
Inhuis combines over 400 years of knowledge from the leaders in every sector of the horticulture industry, greenhouses, supplemental lighting, automation, irrigation, benching, controls, HVAC, security, licensing, and more. With a Master team of experts, Inhuis provides solutions for your growing needs, based on your budget, your wish list, and your potential for expansion.
Ron Berkhout Founding Partner
Ron started his education in the greenhouse industry at the age of 10, following his father, Peter Berkhout, around greenhouses he was building. Eventually, Ron joined his father at PL Light Systems, where they worked side by side, until they left to open the Canadian division of Gavita Horticultural Lighting (Now Gavita Inc. owned by Hawthorne). Ron was the General Manager of Gavita Canada Inc. for 15 years before deciding it was time for a career change. He saw a need in the rapidly changing horticultural industry for someone to be a single point of contact, for companies looking to invest in a highly efficient, top-notch growing facility. To that end, he briefly worked with VRE systems to spearhead their turnkey division, Canavis, before branching off on his own, and starting Inhuis. Ron draws on his long-standing relationships with the very best in the industry to provide full turnkey solutions for your facility, whether it’s a greenhouse or an indoor facility.
